Golden Gate Transit's bus operators do it all—conduct pre-trip inspections, pick up riders, collect fares, answer trip planning questions—all while safely maneuvering an extra large and heavy vehicle through traffic, around tight corners and detours, and through all sorts of weather. Our drivers are dedicated to what they do, and they deserve a heartfelt thanks!
On March 18—Transit Driver Appreciation Day—join us in celebrating our hard-working bus operators! Here are several ways to express your gratitude and support:
- Say "Good morning!" or "Good afternoon!" when getting on the bus, and a hearty "Thank you!" when getting off the bus.
- Tweet a photo of yourself at the bus stop or relaxing on the bus, using the #TDAD hashtag and tagging us at @GoldenGateBus.
