Beginning this Saturday, November 16, Golden Gate Bridge crews will be closing several lanes at the Toll Plaza for roadway repaving. The lane closures will occur in the northbound direction from 8 p.m. Saturday, November 16 until 7 a.m. Sunday, November 17. Traffic on the Bridge will remain open in both directions, but northbound drivers should expect delays while the lane closures are in effect.
Southbound lane closures are also scheduled for the week of November 18. The Toll Plaza lane closures will be coordinated with planned overnight lane closures across the Bridge due to the construction of the Suicide Deterrent System. Drivers heading southbound across the Bridge between the hours of 8 p.m. and 7 a.m. next week should expect additional delays.
Additionally, the northbound and southbound Golden Gate Transit bus stops at the Bridge Toll Plaza will be temporarily moved to the Southeast Visitor Parking Lot during the work period. Signage will be posted and Bridge employees will be on hand to direct passengers to the temporary bus stops.
