Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Monday, June 24 through Friday, June 28, 2024
- Overnight Monday, June 24, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, June 25, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, June 26, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, June 27, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, June 28, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 northbound lane and 2 southbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
