Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Monday, April 21, through Friday, April 25, 2025
- Overnight Monday, April 21, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lane and 1 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, April 22, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, April 23, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lanes and 2 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, April 24, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, April 25, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 7:00 a.m. (Saturday morning).
