Bridge Remains OPEN to Traffic at ALL Times
The Golden Gate Bridge will have overnight lane closures during the week to allow for Suicide Deterrent System construction. Drivers should expect to slow down around construction areas and may experience minor traffic delays during construction hours.
Please note: When the overnight lane configuration is set to one northbound and two southbound lanes, pedestrian access to the east sidewalk will CLOSE one hour earlier—at 8:00 p.m. during Pacific Daylight Time.
Monday, January 13, through Friday, January 17, 2025
- Overnight Monday, January 13, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 northbound lanes and 1 southbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Tuesday morning).
- Overnight Tuesday, January 14, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 southbound lanes and 1 northbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Wednesday morning).
- Overnight Wednesday, January 15, the GGB roadway will narrow to 1 southbound lane and 2 northbound lanes between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Thursday morning).
- Overnight Thursday, January 16, the GGB roadway will narrow to 2 northbound lanes and 1 southbound lane between 9:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. (Friday morning).
- Overnight Friday, January 17, no closures.
