Special Event Permits - Permits

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) Master Ordinance, page 19, Section I.G, defines "Special Events" as "runs, walks, celebrations, ceremonies, and other similar events, which are not Expressive Activity."

Special Events are allowed only in certain public areas of property owned and operated by the District, including Golden Gate Bridge sidewalks and Golden Gate Ferry terminals, and a District-issued permit is required.
