Real-Time Arrivals FAQs
A:
The website widget gives you real-time Golden Gate Transit bus arrival times for all routes passing by your bus stop or location (by default, the widget presents the next arrival times for the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza). To change the location, simply type the name of an attraction (e.g. Fisherman’s Wharf), a major intersection (e.g. First and Mission), a bus stop ID, or street address (e.g. 455 California Street) into the search field. Use the scroll bar to see all routes that serve that location. If arrival data is available, it will display on the far right opposite the route number.

The number on the left side of the widget display represents the Golden Gate Transit route number (e.g. 130 or 101). Text beneath the route number identifies the direction, followed by the nearest stop where you can board a bus. The number on the right side opposite the route number identifies the arrival time (in minutes) of the next trip on that route. Any smaller number beneath that identifies subsequent arrival times within a 90-minute window.

A bus departure time may drop off the display if the vehicle arrives early and is waiting at a stop. Instead of showing that the bus is waiting, the app shows the time for the next bus on the route. We are modifying the software to resolve this issue and will soon have a solution.
