ARCHIVED Golden Gate Transit January 2024 Service Changes

Effective Sunday, January 14, 2024, Golden Gate Transit will make improvements to Sonoma County & Marin commute service, and return some service back into neighborhoods. 

Schedule improvements for January are designed to align schedules to meet current ridership demands, and to align with other Bay Area Transit Agencies.

Route 101
1. Minor schedule adjustments.

 

NEW! Commute Route 164
1. Serves East Petaluma neighborhoods via South McDowell Blvd.
2. Two morning trips to San Francisco and two afternoon/evening trips to East Petaluma. 

Route 172
1. Minor schedule adjustments.
2. Added new commute express trips  (See Route 172X).


NEW! Route 172X
1.
Two early morning and late afternoon/evening express trips provide faster service to/from San Francisco.

Route 130
1. Route extended to the Canal on some weekend trips. 
2.
Schedule adjustments of up to 14 minutes on some trips.  Check schedules carefully!

Route 150
1. Schedule adjustments of up to 18 minutes on some trips.  Check schedules carefully!

Route 154
1. Rerouted to serve downtown Novato through Redwood Blvd and S. Novato Blvd to make the commute to San Francisco easier.
2. Atherton Ave Bus Pad is discontinued, alternate stop is at  Redwood Blvd & Escallonia. 
3. One trip added in each direction.
