Easy Connections from Golden Gate Bus & Ferry to Muni's New 74X CultureBus

San Francisco Cultural Institutions and SF Muni have introduced a new mode of transportation called the 74X CultureBus, which connects locals and visitors to the art, culture and adventures of San Francisco. The 74X CultureBus is an entirely new bus route operated by Muni with the support of many of San Francisco's cultural institutions.

The CultureBus provides an easy, economical and eco-friendly service from downtown San Francisco to Golden Gate Park. The bus stops near various cultural institutions including the Asian Art Museum, the Contemporary Jewish Museum, the de Young Museum, the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, the Yerba Buena Neighborhood and the California Academy of Sciences (which re-opens in Golden Gate Park on September 27).

Connections to and from Golden Gate Ferry and Golden Gate Transit to the 74X CultureBus are easy!

Golden Gate Ferry Customers: Golden Gate Transit Bus Customers:
  • Walk (15-20 minutes) from the San Francisco Ferry Terminal (behind the Ferry Building) to the 74X CultureBus stop at Howard & New Montgomery.

(Note: GGF's free MUNI transfer is NOT valid on the 74X CultureBus)

  • Civic Center area: Walk a block from the GGT stop at Hyde & McAllister to the 74X CultureBus stop at McAllister & Larkin, or
  • South of Market area: Walk a block from the GGT stop at Howard & 2nd to the 74X CultureBus stop at Howard & New Montgomery.
