SF Muni Eliminates Free Golden Gate Ferry Transfers Effective April 1
Several months ago, the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Authority (Muni) initiated a change to the current FREE Muni transfer program for Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry riders. Muni initiated this change to create a more equitable and consistent policy across all transit operators who link with Muni.
On Thursday, April 1, 2010, a new fare agreement will eliminate the current FREE Muni round trip ticket program offered only to Golden Gate Ferry riders. The April 1 fare agreement is as follows:
-
Adult TransLink customers transferring from Golden Gate Transit or Golden Gate Ferry to Muni will receive a 50-cent credit on their Muni TransLink fare (excludes Muni Monthly Pass and cash-paying customers).
-
TransLink customers transferring from Muni to Golden Gate Transit or Golden Gate Ferry will receive a fare credit (50-cents for adults, 25-cents for youth/senior/disabled) on their Golden Gate TransLink fare (excludes Muni Monthly Pass, CityPass, Passport, 10-ride book, and cash-paying customers).
