July 4th: GGT & GGF will Operate Holiday Service for Independence Day

July 2nd to 6th: Help us Decorate the "Happiest Bus on Earth" at the Marin County Fair!

The summer is coming into full gear with the 4th of July holiday and the Marin County Fair!

On Independence Day, Friday, July 4th, Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry will operate holiday service for the holiday; no commute buses and ferries will operate. Click here for more information.

Also, visit our Detours page for details about temporary July 4th parade detours in Sausalito, Corte Madera, Larkspur, and Novato (when available).

From Wednesday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 6th, Golden Gate Transit will be at the Marin County Fair. Fairgoers are invited to visit the Golden Gate booth and help decorate the "Happiest Fair on Earth!" Getting to the Fair is easy on GGT, and we've added some late night trips after the fireworks to get people to where they want to go. Stop by our booth for assistance with planning your trip on transit. Click here for more information.

Let GGT Get You to the Fair and Home After the Fireworks!

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District returns to the Marin County Fair, from Wednesday, July 2nd through Sunday, July 6th! While visiting the Fair, be sure to stop by the Golden Gate booth and help us create the "Happiest Bus on Earth!" Just like our "Green Footprint" and "Flower Power" buses, this decorated bus will go into revenue service after the Fair as a reminder of our commitment to moving people throughout the North Bay and San Francisco. You may also get personal trip planning assistance at the Fair to see how public transportation can work for you and your family.

Like us on Facebook and Twitter and be sure to tag us when posting your favorite photos of the Happiest Bus on Earth to your social media accounts (@GoldenGateBus on Twitter and @GoldenGateTransit on Facebook).
