District Recruiting Members of the Disabled & Senior Communities for its Advisory Committee on Accessibility

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District is seeking members of the disabled and senior communities to join its Advisory Committee on Accessibility (ACA). The committee meets regularly to provide input and express the preferences of fellow passengers to transit managers and staff on a regular and on-going basis.

ACA was created to discuss accessible transportation and other matters pertaining to seniors and persons with disabilities. The committee is made up of members representing Golden Gate Transit bus Golden Gate Ferry service areas in Marin, Sonoma, San Francisco, and Contra Costa counties, and is comprised of active, dedicated volunteers from the senior and disabled communities who use Golden Gate Transit buses, Golden Gate Ferry, and Whistlestop Wheels regional paratransit services.

ACA meets on the third Thursday (January, April, July, October), from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at the Golden Gate Transit offices at 1011 Andersen Drive in San Rafael.

If you want to learn more about our bus and ferry services, have issues you want to discuss, and want to help make service decisions that meet the travel needs of the community, then we want to hear from you! Please email to request an application.
