Ride Public Transit to San Francisco's Giants Parade on Friday, October 31

Golden Gate Transit & Golden Gate Ferry Add Service

Higher Golden Gate Bridge Traffic Volumes Expected

Golden Gate Ferry  |  Golden Gate Transit  |  Golden Gate Bridge  |  Customer Service

Larkspur Ferry will add morning service between 7am and 11:30am. The Sausalito Ferry schedule will not change but each trip will be staffed to accommodate more passengers. See schedules for Larkspur & Sausalito.

NOTE: To avoid long lines, customers are strongly encouraged to PURCHASE FERRY TICKETS BEFORE FRIDAY from ticket machines located at our Larkspur, San Francisco, and Sausalito Ferry Terminals. Customers may also use their Clipper card to take advantage of the discounted fares. Clipper cards may be purchased from these same ticket machines or at our Customer Service Center at the San Rafael Transit Center - Platform D (weekday hours: 7am to 6pm). See fare information below.

NOTE: Between 7am and about 11:30am, Larkspur Ferry trips will "load and go," meaning that boats will leave as soon as they are full and ready to depart. Boarding will be on a first-come, first-served basis. See schedules below for Larkspur & Sausalito.

NOTE: PARKING at the Larkspur Terminal is extremely limited on weekdays. Fans should consider carpooling or getting dropped off at the terminal. Limited overflow parking is available at the Marin Airporter and the Park & Ride lot on Drakes Landing Road (off Sir Francis Drake Blvd on the opposite side of Hwy 101). Please DO NOT PARK at the Marin Country Mart or at any of the nearby private office buildings. Larkspur Ferry parking fees apply on weekdays between 5am and 3pm. For rates and payment options, visit our Ferry Parking page. Parking for the Sausalito Ferry is available in for-pay lots near the Ferry Landing and at metered parking along Bridgeway.

For more Golden Gate Transit bus options, visit our Bus Schedules page.

Every effort will be made to maintain schedules on all Golden Gate Transit bus routes throughout the day. However, due to the Parade and increased traffic in and around the San Francisco Civic Center and Financial District areas, delays are anticipated, particularly on northbound afternoon commute trips.

The Giants Parade starts at 12:00 pm at Market & Steuart streets at noon and continues up Market Street to the Civic Center Plaza. Beginning at 9:30am and continuing until streets can safely accommodate buses, GGT buses will operate on several detours in downtown San Francisco. See our Service Alerts page for complete details, including stops not served.
