Golden Gate Bridge Sidewalks CLOSED for Annual Presidio 10 Race, Sunday, April 12, 2015

Bike/Pedestrian Shuttle Available during Sidewalk Closure

The Presidio 10 is a fun, family-oriented race in the Presidio of San Francisco. The race, benefiting The Guardsmen, will start at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday morning, April 12, 2015, near Sports Basement, 610 Old Mason Street in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Runners will cross the Golden Gate Bridge on the WEST and EAST sidewalks. BOTH THE WEST and EAST SIDEWALKS WILL BE CLOSED during this time to all others, including pedestrians and bicyclists, as follows:

  • WEST SIDEWALK
    • 5:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.: OPEN to bicyclists
    • 7:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m.: CLOSED
    • Approx. 10:30 a.m.: OPEN to bicyclists
  • EAST SIDEWALK
    • 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m.: CLOSED
    • Approx. 10:00 a.m.: OPEN

During this time, a FREE shuttle will operate in both directions across the Bridge. The shuttle will stop in clearly-marked designated areas in the SOUTHEAST parking lot and on the NORTHEAST side of the Bridge at the northbound Alexander off-ramp bus stop area.
