Golden Gate Bridge Sidewalks Closed for Annual Presidio 10 Race

The Presidio 10 is a fun, family-oriented race in the Presidio of San Francisco. The race, benefiting The Guardsmen, will take place on Sunday morning, April 13, 2014, starting at 8 a.m. near the Sports Basement, 610 Old Mason Street in the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

Runners will cross the Golden Gate Bridge and both the WEST and EAST SIDEWALKS WILL BE CLOSED to all other access, including pedestrians and bicyclists, as follows:

  • WEST SIDEWALK: OPEN to bicyclists from 5:00am to 7:30am. CLOSED from 7:30am to 10:30am. OPEN to cyclists at approx. 10:30am.
  • EAST SIDEWALK: CLOSED from 5:00am to 10:00am. OPEN to pedestrians at approx. 10:00am.

During this time, a FREE shuttle will operate in both directions across the Bridge. The shuttle will stop in clearly-marked designated areas in the SOUTHEAST parking lot and on the NORTHEAST side of the Bridge at the northbound Alexander off-ramp bus stop area.
