GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT
LAUNCHES PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAM…
See Something? Say Something!
A new See Something? Say Something! public awareness program is being launched the week of October 24 throughout the three transportation divisions of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District)—Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Transit, and Golden Gate Ferry—as added enhancement to existing safety and security measures.
See Something? Say Something! is being launched as a reminder to customers to report suspicious or atypical persons or things encountered while traveling on a bus, ferry, or across the Bridge. See Something? Say Something! encourages customers to join with District employees as the “eyes and ears” of their transportation environment to aid in maintaining a safe environment for everyone.
The program features brightly colored posters (see below) with the slogan See Something? Say Something! and provides contact information for reporting something atypical. The posters will be distributed throughout the District’s transportation facilities including aboard buses and ferries, at bus and ferry transit terminals, and various locations at the Bridge.
According to District General Manager Celia Kupersmith, “The See Something? Say Something! program is a great reminder to all of us to continue to be observant, alert, watchful, and aware and to report something if it doesn’t look right.”
