Regular Golden Gate Ferry service between Sausalito and San Francisco will resume Wednesday, May 1, 2024, after successful repairs to the Sausalito pier were completed this week.
During a routine inspection on Friday, April 19, damage was discovered on one of the pier’s four piles. Out of an abundance of caution and for the safety of our customers, all Sausalito ferry service was suspended until repairs to the pier could be made. Replacement Golden Gate Transit bus service was provided for all suspended Sausalito ferry trips during that time.
Contractors completed repairs to the pile this week, and the pier was reinspected before being deemed safe to resume ferry operations.
We apologize to our customers for the inconvenience and thank them for their patience as we worked to repair the pier and restore service as quickly as possible.
