SUMMARY OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
MEETING OF AUGUST 24, 2007

  1. Authorized a competitive negotiation process for the procurement of Contract No. 2008-MD-1, Advanced Communication and Information System, in accordance with the District’s Procurement Manual and state law, for the purchase of a replacement radio system and a new Intelligent Transportation Systems.
  2. Approved actions relative to the execution of the GASB 43 qualifying IRS Section 115 Trust, for purposes of funding GASB 45 retiree healthcare and other post-employment liabilities, with the understanding that all who serve on the Trust Board will be provided with legal defense and indemnity protection by the District for any acts or omissions that may occur with the scope of their duties and responsibilities.
  3. Ratified the award of a Contract to ExtraTeam, Inc., relative to California Multiple Award Schedule (CMAS), for the purchase of data communications switches.
  4. Approved participation in the San Francisco city-wide energy conservation event, Lights Out San Francisco.
