Golden Gate Transit (GGT) will begin offering all-day service between Marin and San Francisco! The new weekday service - on Route 4 from Mill Valley and Strawberry and on Route 27 from the San Rafael Transit Center - will start on Monday, June 9, 2014.

This is a great opportunity for central and southern Marin residents to catch a bus into the City for shopping, dining, and events. It's also a great alternative to driving for students and commuters who work flex schedules.

Routes 4 and 27 will run hourly from 4:30 am until 8 pm. The new Route 4 trips begin in Strawberry and run through Mill Valley along East Blithedale and Miller Avenues, and serve Tam Junction, the Manzanita Park & Ride, and the Spencer Avenue bus pad. The new Route 27 trips begin at the San Rafael Transit Center and serve the Lucky Drive and Paradise Drive bus pads.

In San Francisco, both routes will serve the Golden Gate Bridge and the new Bridge Pavilion, the Presidio (Gorgas Gate entrance), Lombard Street, Upper Fort Mason, Ghirardelli Square, Fisherman’s Wharf (Beach and North Point Streets), the Financial District, and the Moscone Center. Combined, Routes 4 and 27 will run every 30 minutes through San Francisco.

This new service is also a great transit alternative for Giants day games, since these new trips come within a short walk from AT&T Park!

Connections to other transit agencies, such as Muni, are easy at the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza or at Battery & Pine (connect to other agencies on Market Street).
