Watch the Action Live from Crissy Field to Marina Green in San Francisco!
Ride Golden Gate Transit to America's Cup World Series Event
Bus Service Added from Southern Marin on
Saturday & Sunday, August 25-26

America's Cup World Series Event begins Wednesday, August 22 and concludes on Sunday, August 26, with practice racing on August 21. The America's Cup Village is located at Marina Green and is open daily during the event, 10 am to 6 pm. Race start times vary and are currently: August 22 @ 1 pm, August 23-25 @ 2:10 pm, and August 26 @ 12:25 pm. Racing finishes around 4 pm each day except Sunday, August 26th, which has an earlier finish around 2 pm. Dock-in shows and stage appearances will occur after racing until Marina Green closing time at 6 pm. On Sunday, August 26, the match racing and fleet racing champions will be broadcast live, coast to coast, on NBC, beginning at 11:30 am. Visit for all race details.

The best spectator viewing: Crissy Field to Marina Green, and Aquatic Park to Pier 27/29. The east sidewalk of the Golden Gate Bridge is NOT recommended for viewing as the sidewalk will already be crowded with visitors/cyclists and there is extensive scaffolding at midspan making the area even more limited. And, of course, the daily fog doesn’t help either.

On weekdays, August 21 to 24, race fans can catch regularly scheduled GGT Routes 10, 70, and 101, and afternoon commute routes. Check the schedules in advance. The best stops to disembark the bus and walk to Marina Green are Richardson & Francisco or Lombard & Fillmore; the best stops to board the bus are also at Richardson & Francisco or Lombard & Fillmore.

Over the weekend, August 25 and 26, added bus service from southern Marin operates every 30 minutes from approximately 11 am to 7:30 pm on Routes 4 and 10. Fans can also catch regularly scheduled bus service on Routes 10, 70, 80, and 101. NOTE: Customers will be able to ride all GGT service locally within San Francisco on August 25 and 26.

View the America's Cup Transit Map for information on weekend transit services.
