March 15, Ply the Bay Aboard Golden Gate Ferry for the 11:30 am St. Patrick's Day Parade in San Francisco

On Saturday, March 15, 2014, San Francisco’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade starts at 2nd and Market in San Francisco at 11:30 a.m. and heads to the San Francisco Civic Center. Both Golden Gate Larkspur Ferry and Sausalito Ferry can take you to within blocks of the starting point.

Purchase your tickets in advance to avoid long lines at the terminal. Tickets are available from ticket machines. Clipper is also accepted. Ferries will depart on time and will not wait for customers waiting to purchase tickets.

Golden Gate Ferry often gets busy for events like the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. With the rather festive nature of this event, Golden Gate Ferry will be adding security patrols aboard the Larkspur Ferry. Further, Golden Gate Ferry reminds all riders about the Golden Rules of Riding Golden Gate Ferry:

  • Please, no graffiti or scratchitti
  • Please do not vandalize, abuse, or damage property or equipment
  • Please be courteous and respect your fellow passengers
  • If using any type of media device, please use headphones, earphones, earbuds
  • Keep cell phone conversation to a minimum
  • Restricted areas (pilothouse, navigator's bridge, or concession) are off-limits
  • Weapons, firearms, explosives, flammable materials, or corrosive liquids cannot be brought onboard
  • Please let disabled persons, persons using wheelchairs, and senior citizens use priority seating
  • Don't get separated from your belongings
  • Golden Gate Ferry takes suspicious activities seriously. Please report all unusual activities to a staff person immediately
