High Potential for VERY HEAVY Traffic on the Golden Gate Bridge

With the San Francisco Giants Playoff Games (Oct. 7 & 8) and Fleet Week activities (Oct. 7-12), motorists should expect to see heavy traffic crossing the Golden Gate Bridge starting on Thursday, October 7 and continuing through Sunday, October 10.

Traffic will be heavy due to :

Playoff games between the San Francisco Giants and Atlanta Braves are set to start at 6:30 pm at AT&T Park on Oct. 7 and Oct. 8. Avoid the traffic and take direct Golden Gate Ferry service to AT&T Park on the Giants Ferry. Visit our Giants Ferry page for more info. Go Giants!

Fleet Week in San Francisco is Oct. 7 to 12. The Blue Angels schedule, according to the official website at www.fleetweek.us, is as follows:
- Thursday, October 7: the Blue Angels Circle and Arrival Maneuvers, and other team practice from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm
- Friday, October 8: Practice beginning at 1:00 pm and ending with the Blue Angels from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Saturday, October 9: Full Air Show beginning at 1:00 pm and ending with the Blue Angels from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
- Sunday, October 10: Full Air Show beginning at 1:00 pm and ending with the Blue Angels from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm
