Potential Golden Gate Bridge Toll Increase
Posted April 10, 2002

Please drop by any time between 4:30 pm and 7:30 pm at one of the locations to learn more...

The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) is conducting a technical study that examines 12 toll options and the potential impacts of raising Golden Gate Bridge tolls to fund ongoing services and projects. The 12 toll options studied range from $3 to $5 for 2-axle vehicles, with discount rates for FasTrak. The first round of meetings provided an opportunity to learn about the District's financial needs, how your toll dollars are spent, what projects need to be funded over the next ten years, and why tolls support Golden Gate Transit services. To review all of the materials presented at the first round of informational meetings, click here.

The purpose of this round of meetings is to present and discuss the staff recommendation regarding a potential toll increase. The findings of the Planning Analysis and Financial Plan will also be available for review and comment.
