GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE SIDEWALKS CLOSED

7 AM to 9 AM FOR HALF MARATHON

On Sunday, November 6, 2005, the Fourth Annual US Half Marathon comes to San Francisco. The course crosses both of the sidewalks on the Golden Gate Bridge, with racers traveling north on the east sidewalk, and south on the west sidewalk.

To accommodate race participants, both the east and west sidewalks of the Golden Gate Bridge will be closed November 6, 2005, from approximately 7 am to 9 am.

While the sidewalks are closed, bicyclists and pedestrians requiring access across the Golden Gate Bridge may ride the free shuttle service. Shuttle stops are located on both sides of the Bridge: the south side shuttle stop is in the southeast parking lot and the north side shuttle stop is along the northbound Alexander Avenue off-ramp bus stop.

The Caltrans operated Vista Point parking lot, on the northeast side of the Bridge, will also be closed from approximately 6 am to 10 am.

Visit www.ushalf.com for complete race details.
