Expect Delays on the Golden Gate Bridge, Golden Gate Ferry, and Golden Gate Transit
This Afternoon Into This Evening
Due to the increased traffic and congestion from the San Francisco Giants world championship celebration parade, delays are expected this afternoon on Bridge, bus and ferry services. People trying to get into and out of San Francisco should expect an increase in commute and travel times. We appreciate your patience as we try to accommodate the increase in traffic and passengers.
Golden Gate Bridge
Beginning at 1 pm, the lane configuration will be changed to four (4) northbound and two (2) southbound. We will keep four (4) lanes northbound out of the City as late into the evening as possible. Southbound vehicles should expect delays during the afternoon and into the evening; there will be two (2) southbound lanes.
Golden Gate Ferry
In anticipation of the very high demand of people returning to Larkspur today, extra trips will be added at 2:15 pm, 2:30pm, 4:10pm, and 5:40pm. All trips are first come, first serve and will depart when they reach capacity.
