NOTICE OF INTENTION TO AMEND THE
GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE, HIGHWAY AND TRANSPORTATION DISTRICT’S
CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE

     NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) intends to amend a Conflict of Interest Code (Code), pursuant to Government Code Sections 87306 and 87306.5. Pursuant to Government Code Section 87302, the Code will designate employees who must disclose certain investments, income, interests in real property and business positions, and who must disqualify themselves from making or participating in the making of governmental decisions affecting those interests. An amendment is being proposed to update the Code to reflect one new position. In addition, there are several non-substantive changes relating to title changes.

      The District has prepared a written explanation for the designation and the disclosure responsibilities and has available all of the information upon which the amendment is based.      A 45-day written comment period has been established commencing Tuesday, September 14, 2010 and ending October 28, 2010. Any interested person may present written comments concerning the proposed amended Code no later than close-of-business on October 28, 2010, to the Secretary of the District, Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, P.O. Box 9000, Presidio Station, San Francisco, CA 94129-0601. No public hearing on this matter will be held unless any interested person or his or her representative requests a public hearing no later than fifteen (15) days prior to the close of the written comment period.
