Pursuant to Special Provisions, Section 1.3, Bid Form in the Bid Documents, the District Secretary’s Office (DSO) publicly opened Envelope No. 1 of the bids received revealing the Summary of Bid of each Bidder, setting aside Envelope No. 2, which included the identity of the Bidder and the complete Bid Form, which would be open only after staff had selected the preferred Category. On August 15, 2011, staff advised the DSO that Category 4G was selected. At that time, the DSO opened each Bidder’s Envelope No. 2, and revealed the remaining bid information, as follows:

The Bids are currently under review by the District. The Bidders will be notified of the District’s staff recommendation after their review. It is anticipated that the staff recommendation to award Contract No. 2012-BT-1 will be presented to the Transportation Committee for review at its meeting of Thursday, September 8, 2011, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Committee’s recommendation will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for its approval at its meeting of Friday, September 9, 2011, beginning at 10:00 a.m. Both meetings will take place in the Board Room, Administration Building, Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza, San Francisco, CA.

If this schedule is met, the staff report will be sent by electronic mail to all Bidders on Friday, September 2, 2011.
