NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO
RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON THE
PROPOSED DISCONTINUATION OF
GOLDEN GATE TRANSIT ROUTES 92 AND 93

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) will hold a Public Hearing to receive public comment, as follows:

Thursday, May 17, 2018, at 9:00 a.m.
Board Room, Administration Building
Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza
San Francisco, CA

The District’s Board of Directors approved the Short-Range Transit Plan Fiscal Years 2016/17 – 2025/26 (SRTP), which establishes service and system performance metrics for all of the District’s transit services, and sets a performance threshold of 10 passengers per trip for Commute Shuttle Routes, and 20 passengers for Commute Routes. The District proposes to discontinue Routes 92 and 93, which travel along the Geary Boulevard corridor to the Civic Center from Marin City and the Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza respectively. The District is proposing the discontinuation of these routes because Route 92 is not meeting the District’s performance threshold for Commute Routes, and Route 93 is not meeting the District’s performance threshold for Commute Shuttle Routes. In addition, Commute Route service is provided by: a) Routes 30, 70, 101 and 101X to the Financial District; and b) Routes 24 and 54 to the Civic Center. Furthermore, Muni Route 28 stops at the Toll Plaza, and connects with Muni Routes 38 and 38R, which provide frequent service along the Geary Boulevard corridor.

Reports regarding this proposal may be obtained from the Secretary of the District, Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, P.O. Box 9000, Presidio Station, San Francisco, CA, 94129-0601, or on the web at www.goldengate.org/board/2018/mtgs-public-h.php, by email at districtsecretary@goldengate.org, by phone at (415) 923-2223, by fax at 415-923-2013, or by using TDD California Relay Service at 711.
