NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING TO RECEIVE PUBLIC COMMENT ON ESTABLISHING A TOLL CLASSIFICATION FOR CALIFORNIA PUBLIC UTILITIES COMMISSION CERTIFICATED PROVIDERS OF REGULARLY SCHEDULED BUS TRANSPORTATION SERVICES FROM MARIN AND SONOMA COUNTIES TO THE SAN FRANCISCO INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District (District) will hold a Public Hearing, as follows, on: Thursday, June 9, 2011, at 9:30 a.m., Board Room, Administration Building, Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza, San Francisco, CA.

It is proposed that a new toll classification be established for privately operated, California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) certificated providers of regularly scheduled bus transportation services from established points in Sonoma and Marin Counties to the San Francisco International Airport beginning July 1, 2011.

Currently, the applicable toll is $3.00 during carpool hours and $7.50 at all other times. Pursuant to Ordinance No. 2010-01, the toll will increase to $11.25 as of July 1, 2011, and to $15.00 as July 1, 2012, during non-carpool hours.

The proposal that is the subject of the public hearing is to establish a $7.50 toll at all times for providers of this service. The staff analysis is available on the District’s web site at www.goldengate.org.

Public comments will be received at the public hearings or may be presented in writing to the Secretary of the District, as follows: Janet S. Comments may also be sent by e-mail to publichearing@goldengate.org. Written comments should be received no later than Thursday, June 9, 2011, by 4:30 p.m.

A staff report summarizing the public comments and staff analysis will be presented to the Finance-Auditing Committee at its meeting of Thursday, June 23, 2011. The Committee’s recommendation would be forwarded to the Board of Directors for consideration and action at its meeting of Friday, June 24, 2011.
