Public Hearing Set on Proposal to Increase Special Event Transit Fares
The Board of Directors of the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation
District will hold a Public Hearing on Thursday, January, 22,
2004, at 9:30 am, in the Board Room, Administration
Building, Toll Plaza, Golden Gate Bridge, San Francisco, CA, to receive
public comment on a proposal to increase Special Event Special Event
ferry fares to SBC Park ( Pacific Bell) and bus fares to Candlestick
Park as follows:

By policy, Special Event fares are set to cover direct operating costs
of these discretionary, special services. Current estimates show that
roundtrip per passenger cost for the SBC Park ferry service is $12.60.
Current estimates show that the per passenger roundtrip cost for Candlestick
bus service is $15.50 Larkspur-Candlestick, $19.50 Santa Rosa-Candlestick,
and $21.50 Sonoma-Candlestick. The new fares are proposed to be set
at breakeven levels, sufficient to cover operating costs.

should be received no later than 4:30 p.m., January 21, 2003.
