HEARING SET ON PROPOSAL TO
IMPLEMENT FARE SURCHARGE FOR
EXTENDED INTERCOUNTY PARATRANSIT SERVICE
The Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District, San Francisco,
CA will hold a public hearing on Thursday, August 12, 2004, at 9:30 a.m.,
in the Board Room, Administration Building, Golden Gate Bridge Toll Plaza,
San Francisco, CA, for the purpose of receiving public comment on a proposal
to implement a fare surcharge of $0.50, for Marin County extended intercounty

In
accordance with federal regulations, Golden Gate Bridge, Highway Transportation
District provides intercounty paratransit van services to eligible customers
within ¾ mile either side of Golden Gate Transit regional, non-commute
bus routes. The Marin County Transit District provides paratransit van
service within the confines of Marin County. A $0.50 surcharge is proposed
only for extended paratransit services being provide outside of the ¾
mile required service area within Marin County.
Public comments will be received at the public hearing or may be presented
