Gate Transit Announces Schedule Adjustments
Effective March 14, 2004
Key Highlights of Bus Service Improvements

Transfer connections at Marin City and San Anslemo Hub will
be improved.

Basic
Routes 10, 70, and 80 will have improved transfers and running
times.

Commute
Route 60 (serves San Rafael, San Francisco Financial District)
will have all trips, except the first southbound trip, serve
Marin City and Sausalito. This will reinstate mid morning and
early afternoon service between Sausalito and the San Francisco
Financial District/Transbay Terminal area.

Marin
Local Route 22 (serves San Anselmo, Ross. College of Marin,
Larkspur, Corte Madera, Marin City, Sausalito) will have improved
transfers in Marin City and San Anselmo, all trips will now
operate through the San Rafael Transit Center, and early morning
service (5:30 am to 6:55 am) will now be available on Route
22 from the San Rafael Transit Center to Kentfield, Larkspur,
and Corte Madera.

Local
Marin Route 57 (serves Novato, San Rafael): Weekend service
to Marinwood will be reinstated after being cut in November
2003.

Marin Routes 23 (Manor, Fairfax, San Anselmo, San Rafael) will
have some trips shortened to operate only between Manor/Fairfax
and San Anselmo Hub with connecting service to San Rafael Transit
Center available on Route 22. Additionally, the overall schedule
will be adjusted to improve connections and running times.

Route 34 (Santa Venetia, San Rafael): Morning eastbound and
Evening westbound service added.

72 (Santa Rosa): Due to an increase in ridership, no trips will
be cancelled and the overall schedule will be adjusted to improve
connections and running times.

Route
74 (Santa Rosa): Morning southbound trips departing Petaluma
at 4:42 am and 6:40 am will be cancelled due to low ridership
and the overall schedule will be adjusted to improve connections
and running times.

75 (Santa Rosa/Marin): All trips will bypass the Alameda del
Prado stop and the overall schedule will be adjusted to improve
connections and running times.

Route
76 (East Petaluma): The overall schedule will be adjusted to
improve connections and running times. Northbound afternoon
trips departing San Francisco at 3:58 pm (SF Civic Center),
4:58 pm (SF Civic Center), and 6:55 pm (SF Financial) will be
cancelled due to low ridership. Northbound afternoon Route 76
passengers may take Route 70, 80, or 93 from San Francisco Civic
Center to Richardson, then transfer to northbound Route 76 buses
that originate in San Francisco Financial District.

Route
93 (GGB toll plaza, San Francisco Civic Center): Southbound
morning trips will terminate at 8th & Folsom and morning
service will no longer serve stops on Mission St. Northbound
afternoon service will now originate at 7th & Market. The
overall schedule will be adjusted to improve connections and
running times.
Other Local Marin Routes with Schedule Adjustments
Schedules
on the following services will be adjusted to improve connections
and running times:

Route 15 (Tiburon, Marin City); Route 21 (Marin General, Kentfield,
College of Marin, Corte Madera, Strawberry); Route 29 (San Rafael,
Larkspur Ferry Terminal, Marin General, College of Marin, San
Anselmo); Route 35 (San Rafael, Canal Area, Marin City); and Route
55 (Novato).
- Route
33 (Santa Venetia, San Rafael): 1 westbound trip will be added
departing Santa Venetia at 5:23 pm. Route 36 (San Rafael, Canal
Area, Marin City): Trips will be added to begin earlier in the
morning and earlier in the evening and service will not run as
late in the morning and evening.
- Route
63 (Marin City, Stinson Beach): Weekend service resumes for the
summer and fall seasons, with service to Audubon Canyon Ranch
during the spring and early summer only.
