Golden Gate at the Marin County Fair

Visit the Golden Gate booth at the Marin County Fair Saturday, June 30 through Wednesday, July 4!

As we have for many years, we will help celebrate local art, agriculture, and community with some fun and exciting giveaways. Staff will also be available for transit trip planning assistance.

Getting to the Fair by transit—whether by bus, shuttle, or train—is easy!

  • Golden Gate Transit

  • Marin Transit

    • Route 35 (serving the Canal, San Rafael, Marin Civic Center, Northgate Mall, Hwy 101 bus pads, and Novato) stops near the Marin County Fairgrounds at the Hall of Justice Arch at Marin Civic Center bus stop. Route 35 is operated by Golden Gate Transit. (Note: buses will operate on temporary detour. More info: http://goldengatetransit.org/schedules/routedetours.php.)
    • Route 49 (serving the San Rafael, Marin Civic Center, Northgate Mall, Hamilton, and Novato) stops at the Hall of Justice Arch at Marin Civic Center bus stop.
    • Route 233 (serving San Rafael, Dominican University, Marin Civic Center, and Santa Venetia) stops at the Hall of Justice Arch at Marin Civic Center bus stop.
    • Route 245 (serving San Rafael, Hwy 101, Northgate Mall, Kaiser Hospital, and Smith Ranch Road) serves the Hwy 101 North San Pedro bus pad bus stops.

  • Sonoma-Marin Area Rail Transit (SMART)

Each night after the Fair fireworks show, Routes 35 and 36 will operate added late-night service from the Terra Linda/Freitas Parkway and North San Pedro bus pad stops to the Canal and Marin City, respectively, Route 70 will operate regular service along Hwy 101 in both directions, serving all bus pads, and SMART will operate northbound service from the Marin Civic Center Station.
