Rock 'N' Roll Half Marathon Crosses the Golden Gate Bridge

Bridge Roadway Remains OPEN TO TRAFFIC at ALL Times

Bridge Lanes Configured 2 S/B and 1 N/B from 11PM Saturday to 10AM Sunday

Last SF Northbound Exit CLOSED & Southeast Parking Lot CLOSED 11PM Saturday to 10AM Sunday - NO Drop-offs Allowed

Expect Delays On and Around the Golden Gate Bridge Until 10AM

The Rock 'N' Roll Marathon will cross the Golden Gate Bridge roadway on Sunday, March 26. The Bridge roadway will REMAIN OPEN to traffic during the race and, by about 10 am, the roadway will be returned to 3 northbound and 3 southbound lanes and all parking lots will be reopened.

Golden Gate Bridge

Roadway Lane Configuration

  • 11PM, Saturday, March 25 to 10AM, Sunday, March 26: Two (2) southbound traffic lanes and one (1) northbound traffic lane. The marathon course will occupy two (2) lanes, and there will be one (1) empty or buffer lane.
  • By 10AM, Sunday, March 26: Lane configuration will return to three (3) southbound lanes and three (3) northbound lanes. Parking areas will RE-OPEN.

Northbound Exit to Bridge & Southeast Parking Lot

  • 11PM, Saturday, March 25 to 10AM, Sunday, March 26: Last northbound San Francisco exit from Doyle Drive just before the Toll Plaza will be CLOSED.
  • 11PM, Saturday, March 25 to 10AM, Sunday, March 26: Southeast visitor parking lot CLOSED.
  • By 10AM, Sunday, March 26: Northbound SF exit from Doyle Drive and southeast visitor parking lot will RE-OPEN

GGB Sidewalk Access - Regular Weekend Access

  • East Sidewalk: OPEN at 5AM on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 for pedestrians with regular overnight hours for bicycles.
  • West Sidewalk: OPEN at 5AM on Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 for bikes.

Transit Impacts

Golden Gate Transit

  • 11PM, Saturday, March 25 to 10AM, Sunday, March 26: NO Golden Gate Transit SERVICE at the northbound Toll Plaza bus stop. Click here for GGT bus schedules.
