Effective July 1, 2010
Golden Gate Transit Bus and Golden Gate Ferry Fares Increase by 5%
and Value Card Program is Modified
As part of a five-year transit fare increase program adopted by the Golden Gate Bridge, Highway and Transportation District Board of Directors and implemented on July 1, 2006, both Golden Gate Transit and Golden Gate Ferry fares will increase by 5% on July 1, 2010. Discount programs for regular riders, seniors, youth, and persons with disabilities remain in effect based on the new cash fares. Fares for travel within Marin County do not increase and remain as currently set.

Effective July 1, 2010, regional paratransit fare for travel to or from the East Bay and Marin County over the Richmond-San Rafael Bridge is $6.85. Travel to or from San Francisco and Sonoma County is $12.60. A 50-cent surcharge will continue to be added to the above fares for MARIN EXTENDED INTER-COUNTY PARATRANSIT SERVICE.
